About Us

Corporate Beginnings

MAYON INDUSTRIAL CORPORATION  is the pioneer in the paint industry having been established since 1963. It was founded by a group of Filipino-Chinese businessmen and started as a manufacturer of car paints in a rented warehouse building located along Banawe St. in Quezon City. In the mid-70’s, the company saw the birth of MACNELL  premium  brand paints  when its founder decided to venture into the manufacture of decorative coatings  to serve the increasing demand of architectural paints and finishes in the construction industry of the country. Japanese technology in the production of architectural paints was acquired and its facilities were transferred in a bigger plant location at Grace Village also in Quezon City.
 
        Through the years, MACNELL has undergone continuous product evolution towards developing environment-friendly premium quality paints to provide the country’s need for a total paint solution as well as giving value for customer’s money. We take pride in having developed a number of superior products such as water-based acrylic latex, elastomeric coatings, quick dry enamel,  polyurethane paints, epoxy floor coating systems, solvent-based acrylic paints and emulsions ideal for exterior, interior, water-proofing needs. Depending on the usages, our product lines are applicable on either masonry, wood or metallic substrates and are guaranteed against peeling, blistering, cracking and other key resistance properties like scrubbing, chalking and fading.

         The company’s banner logo of primary colors red, yellow and blue represent the festive mood of the Filipino people. These buntings seen in town fiestas and other celebrations symbolize the jovial spirit, conscientiousness, resiliency, practicality and God-fearing traits very distinct of a Filipino. Despite all odds, we never forget to joyfully offer the blessings to our Creator for the bountiful harvest we have reaped as fruits of our labor. Consequently, to build and own a house is the culmination and a celebration of thanksgiving for our hard work and sacrifices.
